Every Checkly team member gets access to Claude AI as part of their toolkit. This guide walks you through getting set up on your first day.

Which Plan Do I Need?

Claude offers individual subscription tiers. Your plan depends on your role:

Product, Engineering & Design

Sign up for Claude Max ($100/month for 5x usage, or $200/month for 20x usage). Max includes everything in Pro plus significantly higher usage limits, which matters when you're using Claude Code (Anthropic's terminal-based coding agent) throughout the day. Claude Code is included in both Pro and Max plans, but Pro usage limits will likely be too restrictive for daily engineering work. If you're unsure which Max tier to start with, go with Max 5x ($100/month) — you can upgrade later if you're consistently hitting limits.

All Other Roles (Sales, Marketing, People Ops, etc.)

Sign up for Claude Pro ($20/month, billed monthly). Pro gives you access to chat on web, desktop, and mobile, plus web search, file creation, research, projects, and Claude Code. This covers everything you need for writing, analysis, research, and day-to-day work. You can upgrade later if you're consistently hitting limits.

Not sure? Talk to your manager. If you find yourself regularly hitting usage limits on Pro, you can upgrade to Max at any time.

⚠️ Monthly billing only. Always select the monthly billing option. Do not sign up for an annual plan.
